Open Position!!!! Joint Fires Observer (JFO) Instructor

Location:  Fort Sill, OK

Start Date:  Immediate opening

Duties:  Instruct and evaluate students on Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and JFO tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).  Maintain Program of Instruction (POI) and lesson plans.  Operate the Call for Fire Trainer as part of the POI.   Some travel required.

Required Skills and Experience:
o US Citizen
o Secret clearance
o Certified as one of the following (documented proof required):
• Joint Terminal Attack Controller

• JTAC Certificate required

• Minimum 3 years JTAC Certification (AF Form 8, AF Form 3827, or Terminal Attack Control Evaluation forms required) • Forward Air Controller (Airborne) (FAC[A]) • Successfully graduated from a FAC(A) course of instruction • Minimum 3 years FAC(A) experience (Official Flight Record, AF Form 8, or Service equivalent form required) • Three years active duty time performing JTAC/FAC(A) duties at an operational unit o Significant joint fires experience; excellent leadership and communication skills are a must.
