Thanksgiving Message From Col Thompson

Before we depart for Thanksgiving - I wanted to simply say "thanks."

Thanks for all you and your squadrons are doing. You are truly making an impact and a difference - quietly and steadily... a real difference.

As I reflect on all your accomplishments, I am most impressed and amazed... and you do it w/ less and less each time tasked.

I also know all your success and accomplishments do not come w/o a price. It is a whole lot of hard work, long hours and time away from family. I assure you -- you and your family's sacrifice are greatly appreciated and never forgotten.

So thanks for all you do and for all that you will be asked to do as we go forward. Make no mistake - there is no near term end in sight wrt deployments and there will continue to be tough times and challenges ahead. But together and in true SOF fashion - there is nothing we cannot do if we put our heads together and continue w/ can-do spirit and working as a team.

Please push this out to your units and all outlying areas. I want to make sure they all know how much they are appreciated.

HooYah,

TN

BRADLEY P. THOMPSON, Col, USAF
Commander, 720 STG

2008 Combat Control Association Reunion

This year’s reunion appeared to be enjoyed by all who were able to make it. There was a Special Tactics Training Squadron Training and Capabilities brief, a BBQ, a Golf Tournament, some Poker, a Memorial, the Business Meeting, and the Banquet. The Hospitality Room and Country Store were up and running. I’ll get a few more details out about these events and highlights in the Jan 09 CCA Newsletter.

Reunion Photo Request

The Combat Control Reunion was a great get together this year of both active duty and retired CCT. If you weren’t there you missed a good opportunity to see old friends and make new ones. If anyone has pictures from the Memorial Service held on 1 Nov 08 at the Hurlburt Field Air Park could you please send them to me. For that matter any pictures that are suitable for inclusion in the Jan 09 Newsletter will be appreciated. I took quite a few, but I know there were a lot of memorable photos taken and I will use them in the next CCA newsletter.

Thanks,
