Memorial held for Hurlburt Warrior killed in Afghanistan (with VIDEO)

HURLBURT FIELD - They control air and space power in combat and have the swagger and bravado to match the job. But on Monday afternoon, the Warriors wept.

The 23rd Special Tactics Squadron said goodbye to one of their own in a memorial held for Staff Sgt. Timothy P. Davis.

An IED took Davis' life Feb. 20 near Bagram, Afghanistan. He was 28.
Shortly after his death, a memorial was held in his Montesano, Wash., hometown. But his brothers of the 23rd wanted to honor him in their home.

"He was the best of us in every way," said Sgt. Richard Rodriguez, a close friend who moved up the ranks of the Air Combat Controller (ACC) with Davis.
