Fund Raiser for SOWF in Will Jefferson's memory

I'm running an adventure race this summer called the Heb Challenge with Matt Allen, another STO, and 3 other AF types. The race takes place over 5 days on a chain of islands stretching along Scotland's north west coast.

While we're looking to have a good time, I'm really doing the race to raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. My team has set up a website, www.firstgiving.com/aircommandos, to take donations. It seemed like a good idea to raise a little money for the foundation but it's especially meaningful now that Will Jefferson has passed away. There are not many CCT warriors out there from my generation of controllers who didn't know Will in some capacity, whether he was an instructor for their basic course or a mentor teaching advanced classes like survey at CCS or a team guy at the 21 STS. Will will be missed greatly by his family and wife and kids but will also be missed by an even larger clan, those of his teammates and students who are even now carrying the fight forward for him.

Any donation will make a big difference and all will be received with thanks from us and the SOWF and with gratitude by Will's family should they need the funds. You're probably wondering how much to donate, how much is enough? I'd donate what you think you could stand losing to Will playing Texas Hold'em in one night. And I know there are a few that have lost playing poker to him. I know people have raised a good amount of money for the SOWF in the past. Hopefully we can do the same but we can't do it without support from others. Please send this out to the Association. I'd greatly appreciate it.
