For those of you who do not know SSgt Luke Van Dorston is, he is a Combat Controller, currently stationed at the freefall school in Yuma AZ. A little over a year ago he had emergency brain surgery to remove a brain tumor. About 2 days after he was released from the hospital, his wife gave birth to his son Brooks. He is currently awaiting MEB.

I cannot speak proudly enough about this operator. This guy is the quiet professional example for all to follow. He was stationed with myself and TSgt Christopher Coleman on Red Team at 22 STS. He has been deployed to both theaters, and has taken it to the enemy in direct combat on multiple occasions. He has conducted Fast Rope operations in combat and is an all around solid operator. He was my go to guy when I was the Team Sgt. He never complained about any task, TDY, training evolution, or order that involved grave personnel risk. (Not meaning to embarrass you Luke)

This is a very worthwhile cause. At best, Luke will be medically retired as an E-5. Let's help out an operator that has made this world a better place.

80% will go to American Brain Tumor Association and 15% will go to a college fund for Luke's son Brooks.

Another fund raiser Big Run event is being scheduled in September. More info on that will flow at a later date.
